Why do you say this? Did it not work back in 2019? I just tested it, because that would make this version truly insane if so, and you CAN play custom maps.

Yeah, had the game on Steam/GOG since launch (actually Steam before that via direct dev purchase) so this is news, to me, about GOG crippled version. I truly am shocked the GOG version is incomplete. I thought, hey, install the GOG version and problem solved. Yes, I'm OCD-like about that, and being in the editor for hours would make it look like I played the game for those many extra hours. I downloaded the GOG version today, ergo my visit now, because I wanted to spend a long time in the editor and the Steam version runs from within the game, meaning it racks up game time on profile, which I would not like. This is yet another GOG crippled version scenario. Yes, the Steam version (which I do have) uploads finished maps to the Workshop "cloud", but making/editing them does not at all rely on that.and like many, I just want to make (or even edit existing ones) and play myself not share or whatever.
Whilst there may be an ounce of "technically true" part, it could be made to work anywhere. The editor, you know, that allows users to create their own fucking maps, is not part of the GOG version. The store page does not explicitly note this, but it should. Holly scumballs Batman! I came to RAGE about the GOG version NOT including the map editor, but it seems it's already been reported.
